i try and get hammer editor to work but i go to the bottom to get the current game and nothing pops under it. a little thin line appears as if its empty.

i want to make texture and such maps fro css

i think i remember this happening to me too but i cant freakin remember what i did to fix it (its nothing big so dont worry about that). So what does it say when u click on "hammer" even with the box blank?
 
Ok try this. Open SDK and instead of clicking hammer from applications, look down under utilities and click "Refresh SDK content". I think thats how i did it but i realy forget :(
