Spacer Help

Im new here annd i was wondering if you could help me out.
Ok SO i have this old computer case and i have enough parts gathered up to build another computer but when i went to put the board in, i placed the spacers and whatnot and screwed in the board but it was the spacers length from fitting right with the I/O Panel. So i took the board out and where the spacers go is like a little hill exactly the size of the spacers and just enough roomm for the screw and none of the rest of the borad even touch the place where you put the board so i am wondering if they are built it spacers and if i can put the board right on them because i dont want to do a trial and error cause it will kill the board

This is very hard to understand the exact problem you have without pictures.


Would there be anyway for you to post some pictures up so we can get a better understanding to help you.
 
Another member helped me in another section of the forum, and sorry if i didnt explain it well enough, it is kind of difficult to understand lol
