Spare HDD

So, I have a spare 100GB IDE Western Digital HDD. I want to put it into my other computer which should increase the total HDD space to 260GB. Now, onto my question. What would be the best way to do this? I know I'll have to use another ribbon cable and set the one with the OS to master. What else will I have to do?(I'm not completely sure if I reformated it in the past).

how many drives in the other system, if there is only one then simply set the jumper settings on the back of the one your putting in to slave, pop it in place and use the other plug from the data cable going into the master drive, plug the power in and turn her on.

You might have to go into the bios to ask the computer to auto detect the drive (if its disabled at the moment)

and your away. It would probably be worth formatting the drive once your in windows, always nice to have it fresh and clean
