Speaktoit - Android's Alternative to Apple's Siri

So I googled a bit to see what Android's offering to compete with Siri. This Speaktoit (Speak to It) app, apparently launched soon after the 4S (?), seems to be the forerunner, so I'd like some feedback from android users.

I'm fascinated by Siri. So much so that I'd keep my POS 3GS until the launch of the 5... unless this app is as good or better than Siri itself.

Anyone try it yet? Haven't watched any of the youtube stuff on it or dug through any reviews.

Well, after fiddling with it a bit it does seem a lot like the siri feature. A little less polished mind you but it's definitely the same idea.

Is it slower or its voice parsing is not as advanced as SIRI?
What processor did you run this on?

going to check it out on my xperia play.

Runs ok. Somethings take a little time to load but it could be great with some more work.

I ran it on my Xperia Play, Scorpion 1ghz (OCed to 1.5ghz though)

No, it's fast, voice detection is amazing, didn't slip up once. Just not all the nifty animations Apple gives you, and not quite as many responses built in yet it seems, although they do say they'll keep adding more.

I asked her, her name is Sam :P

I think I prefer her voice over siri's. She sounds less... computerish, for lack of a better term.

The technology is awesome though. Earlier this week on Howard Stern, they were messing with Siri trying to produce different sarcastic remarks and responses. I was really impressed with how "smart" and witty that thing is. Apple's doing really good work with that feature. Now if Google can buy out this guy or create their own, maybe they can perfect this personal assistant idea or make it better.
