Spec's for WoW

As some of you may know, i'm trying to upgrade my computer so that World of Warcraft is playable on it.

I have so far figured that everything I need to upgrade is the following:

- I have 256MB RAM and need 512 - 1 gig. 512MB Would be £34, so would it be possible to buy 2 of those and put them both inside my computer instead of buying 1Gig?

- I need 6Gig Hard Disk space, and although i've already got half of that, I managed to find 80Gig for sale on the internet for £30, so I may just take that. :P

Now... That would cost me £98 if I bought 2 blocks of RAM (If it's possible, that is.) And if I just bought 1 block then it would be £64.

Another question:

- I currently have an AMD Duron(tm) Processor. I looked it up on the internet to find out it's processor speed, and it said it was 795MHZ, but recently when I ran dxdiag, I found it said it was running at a speed of 1.1GHZ. Does this mean I don't need to buy a processor after all? Seeing as the spec's for WoW is 800MHZ?

- And I THINK the reason I was going to get a new motherboard was BECAUSE I was buying a new processor, so if I don't get a new processor does it mean I could go without buying the motherboard too? With WoW still working? I was going to buy an A8N-SLI, but if I don't have to then I won't. :P

You can use your current ram with your new ram if you want to. WoW is not too demanding. I could play it with my PIII 866MHZ without a problem. You can stick with your current processor and play the game. Also, what video card do you have?
 
How old is your computer dobbygolem? You may be buying components which aren't supported for your motherboard (as in, RAM speed (PC3200, PC2700, etc...)).
 
Not sure how old my computer is, but I do have the required graphics card which is:

- At least a 32MB 3D graphics card with hardware transform and lighting such as NVIDIA GeForce(tm)2 card class or above.

So if i stick with my current processor, does that mean I don't need to buy a new motherboard?
 
dobbygolem, i'd be careful about upgrading if your new to it. Find out what kind of mobo you have, and what it accepts and doesn't accept. Sounds to me, you might be better off building / buying a new one man!
