Speed of fans

Hi

I am using rather noisy fans and it seems they are not really necesarry all the time because my temperatures are quite low in the case.

Do you have any tip on software which is a good control of fan speeds? Or any other way how to reduce the rpm when not needed?

thank you

Are you fans connected to the motherboard, or are they connected straight to the PSU?

If they're connected to the MOBO, you can change the speed of them in the BIOS, or using something like Speedfan. You could also buy a fan controller, which you'd plug them into. That would allow you to control the speed of them with a dial, which would be a lot easier.

The easiest way is to get a fan controller. Most of the time speedfan and bios doesn't work with case fans, just CPU fans.

I would rather go for some software but if there is none suitable for this issue I will probably consider those fan controlers

If evenyone knows any software please tell me

If you plug it into your mobo, doesnt the fan speed up when necessary?

or does it still run at full speed?
