I'm at school right now, and this is what I got from the houston.rr.com SpeedTest:

What's your speed?
 
That sounds like FUBAR. Try going to hou.speakeasy.net and run that. It will give you a more accurate result..
T1 connection at work is:

A 328.8 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed is much faster than down.. have you tweaked?

That looks like cable speeds...
 
Here's what I got at my school:

2004-11-16 16:31:00 EST: 2424 / 1068
Your download speed : 2482947 bps, or 2424 kbps.
A 303 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 1094091 bps, or 1068 kbps.

This was 3:30 pm, when not as many people were using the bandwidth.
Wish I went to your school Imaruki. :P
 
And for the dsl at my house...

desktop usually gets ~700kbs down/120 up
wireless laptop gets ~600kbps down/115 up

I share 756kbps connection with 14 other computers though, so i think it's pretty good. using wireless B connection, if that makes any difference.
