Is there any way to speed up your ISP. I tried
calling my ISP, it will speep up for awhile, then
slow back down. My ISP is Frontier. My speed
test is, download 770 and upload is 128,to be
honest, I don't know how to understand a speed
test. Is there any other way, other than going thru
your ISP. Thank You

What speed package are you paying for? The speedtest download speed should be close to what you are paying for. If not, try resetting your modem and see if that helps. If not, contact your provider for help. Could be a modem or line issue.

Where i live, we have a 100 mbps speed internet connection. However, the speed is not "guaranteed" so it doesn't actually always run with 10Mb/s. Could be the same story.

Either you accidentally added another 0 or you're being ripped off about 90% of your connection speed.

Actually i mispelled the second b, but yes, i see your point. It's a 100 Mbps connection and it runs somewhere between 1,5 MBps and 7 MBps. So all "good".

I get the feeling you're referring to the 100mb/s that your router is capable of (and thus will show up as you're speed). The speed you get from your provider is normally much lower than that. 100 mb/s is crazy high. Go to speed test and post results.

Yeah I think that's what he's referring to as well. Used to have a friend who thought he had a 100 mbps Internet connection, even though he was on DSL. Took weeks to convince him otherwise.
