Speedfan?

I downloaded speedfan 4.24, and I am wondering if it is possible to limit your fans' speed using speedfan?
 
Well, the easiest thing to do, see if you have little up and down arrows near the fan speed block when you first open speedfan :P If they aren't there, your mobo doesn't support it. That or speedfan has yet to develop support for your system.
 
Click the arrows :P Or if it goes back to some other setting, the auto setting is enabled. Just look around the config menus. I think it's one of hte last tabs where you can deselect this option.
 
plus it helps to have the fans plugged into your motherboard and not directly into the power supply ;) as i stupidly forgot
 
ok, i found the tab...just wondering how low can I limit the fans' rpm ? I mean how high can the temp go before something bad happens? :rolleyes:
