Spilled soda on my sony vaio laptop...help!!!

Now the the only way the caps lock and shift button will work is with the key cover off and depressing underneath very firmly and squarely. put the cover back on and nothing. Any help would be appreciated!!!
I have enough probs that are not my fault w/ this pc. So frustrating I went in debt last month and bought a macbook pro, 2 mos after I bought the Vaio.

If you spilled soda on it, it's probably shot! I had a customer who had a cat vomit on her Gateway (two years ago), she bought a new keyboard from Gateway for around $50. and then had me install it for her, and the problem was solved.

My advice, see if you can ask Sony to replace it without buying a new one, otherwise... if they discover it's damaged by the user (being you) you may have no other choice than to replace it from them.

I hope that helps, I know it isn't something you wanted to hear, but the facts are somewhat clear.

I tried that

I sort of fibbed to sony, said I didn't know why the keys weren't working. However, once they heard I had the covers popped off, that was their out. I tried explaining to them that was the only way the keys worked but they didn't want to hear it. Thought they might help me since I have COUNTLESS problems on file from this pc. Haven't had a prob yet w/ the mac. I love it, just oozes quality. Thanks for your reply though. BTW, think spraying compressed air in there might work? Just a thought, probably a dumb one huh?:o
 
I had a problem with my toshiba laptop where the keyboard was stuffed. some keys would get stuck down and others wouldnt work properly. i took it into the shop and the put another one in for about $60
