Splinter cell crash

so am trying to get splinter cell to play (was running fine earlier until i switched off my pc), I loaded my mission and when the game was loading, it froze and brought me back to the desktop with

"ZLIB UNCOMPRESS FAILED"

followed by

I'm currently downloading patches off Ubi and I hope that could be the fix, anyone know what might be doing this or if the fix will work ?

problem solve.
apparently there was a problem with my save game. Thank god i had a quick save.
However the fix from ubi just installed in thin air.
