Splinter Cell Double Agent...

Well I've got an ati radeon xpress 200 256 mb video card and it won't work, from what I can tell and have been told. So, can I run it? Splinter Cell Chaos theory runs wonderfully, as well as Pandora Tomorrow. If not, what are all the video cards that will work with it? Thanks.

Splinter Cell Double Agent is very demanding game, and I recommend at least 7600GT, 7900 or X1900 to play it

  • Supported OS: Windows® XP (only)
  • Processor: 3 Ghz Pentium® 4 or AMD Athlon™ 3000 (3.5 Ghz Pentium 4 or Athlon 3500 recommended). Game optimized for Dual-processor-enabled computers.
  • RAM: 1 GB
  • Video Card: Direct X® 9.0c-compliant, Shader 3.0-enabled 128 MB video card (256 MB recommended) (see supported list*)
  • Sound Card: DirectX® 9.0c-compatible (EAX" recommended) - PC audio solution containing Dolby® Digital *Live required for Dolby Digital audio.
  • DirectX Version: 9.0c or higher (9.0c included on disc)
  • DVD-ROM: 4x DVD-ROM or faster with Dual-Layer support(DVD9)
  • Hard Drive Space: 8 GB (The installer for the game lists the space required as 10.66 GB)
  • Peripherals Supported: Mouse, keyboard
  • Multiplayer: Broadband connection with 128 kbps upstream or faster
* Supported video cards at time of release:
Single Player:
  • ATI® X1300/X1600/X1800/X1900
  • NVidia® 6200/6600/6800/7300/7600/7800/7900
Multiplayer:
  • ATI® X1300/X1600/X1800/X1900
  • NVIDIA® 6200/6600/6800/7300/7600/7800/7900
Laptop versions of these cards may work but are not supported. The game will not work on a video card that has Shader Model 2.0.

Currently, these chipsets are the only ones that will run this game, but additional chipsets may be supported after the game's release. For an up-to-date list of supported chipsets, video cards, and operating systems, visit the game's FAQ at Ubisoft's support website.
Your video card is not listed in the supported video cards, and this game doesn't run on Shader Model 2.0 video cards and thats why you were not able to run the game

Thanks, man...

I thought so. I have shader model 2.0, but not 3.0, unfortunately. Actually, I'm looking at updating my ram as well as the video card. It won't have a problem after that. Thanks again.
