Split monitor, extend one long screen to two adjacent windows

Hi,

I am looking for software that splits your monitor in a specific way that makes it easier to view long windows (eg when writing multi-line code). I considered buying a monitor that can be rotated to portrait view but wondered if I could instead 'cut off' the bottom half of such a window and rearrange it next to the top half as in the image below. Then when scrolling text would move off the top of the right side of the screen it would appear at the bottom of the left side.

Does anyone know if such software exists? Any questions about what I'm describing fire away!

Just drag the monitors around in Windows Resolution Settings to where you want them.

As far as I can tell that's only for rearranging multiple monitors, what I'm meaning is to have a single monitor set up so that one side is a vertical continuation of the other.
