Hi,
A couple of weeks ago an advertising email was sent to all in my address book (despite the first two fraudulent addresses) and then deleted my address book so that I couldn't warn people.
Today, another advertising email went out to my newly partially rebuilt address book that looked as if it was sent from my address (did a search on properties and it looked as if it came from me, but I can no longer access the source??
I think I have a trojan though I've done every scan known to man and update regularly. I do a daily scan, and use both trend micro's pc cillan and AVG. I know that I shouldn't have two anti virus programs but as careful as I am, I get hit on a fairly regular basis. Over 15 years I've lost a couple of computers.
I know what to avoid, use safe practices when accessing emails and have talked to techies who say that I'm doing everything right......but...
The only thing I don't have is malware bytes. I downloaded it, but the publisher couldn't be verified and I wasn't sure that i was at the right link, the name had an extra 'e' in it and it was .org. Looked fishy to me so I stayed away.
Can you help me get rid of what is going on? I think it's a trojan.
Thank you so much
