spooler?

It might be that your printer spooler service is not started.

Restarting the computer should start the service automatically if the service is set to automatically start.

If not, go to your Computer Management by right clicking on 'My Computer' and selecting 'Manage'. You should see 'Service and Application'. Click the + sign and click on 'Services' look for 'printer spooler' and check to make sure the Startup type is set to Automatic and the Status is set to Started.

Well, there is the device manager. It is under system tools. Take a look at the "Sound, video and game controllers". If there are any "unknown devices" you most likely need to find the sound card drivers and install them.
