Okay, I've been researching this game a little bit and I STILL don't really get the premise. I realize that you create a cootie (for those that played the old school game) like creature, grow it, eat stuff, control a tribe, so on and so forth. But whats the point? Is it an on-going game like an rpg kinda deal or is there an actual end-point where you beat it? Sorry if this could be answered on google, but I've looked and can't seem to grasp the details. I mean it looks great and all, maybe I just don't get it because its apparently a new sort of genre.

Phshaw. Endings? That's so 2006. Point of the Game? what are you spoiled?

But really it sounds like a great premise. You start out small. Amoeba small in fact. Over the course of millions of years (hours) you start to evolve into user defined creations that have very little boundaries. Wanna be a meat eating, six legged, Head-ass looking creature? Sure go ahead. How about a omnivorous blob that has 8 mouths? Whatever floats your boat man. But you go even deeper.. After evolving enough you (might) become civilized. No more sh!tting in the jungle for you, Now you do it in an outhouse.

The game even allows you to become a space-faring race. Evil conquers or benign travellers, it's all up to you. The online mode takes this even farther allowing you to meet other worlds.. And interact with them (kill them all! BWAHAHA...Ahem..).

I leave you with this early clip of The great Robin Williams Literally Screwing his creature..

Wow, sounds rather interesting. So is it actually a new genre, or could this fit into an rts/city-building category? Sounds like there's almost an infinite amount of open-endedness.

well the robin williams video came out a really long time ago, so whats the hold-up? the game seemed well and finished back then and it almost seems forgotten nowadays. will it be DX10? what are the grapics like? the videos dont really tell you the demand on graphics, so we're left to guess. anyone have answers?

It's made by the guy that created all the Sim games, and has been playfully dubbed "Sim Everything" you get to design a creature all the way up the evolutionary process, you get to design its planet, you get to design its building styles, you get to design its vehicles, its weapons, everything. Not to mention i has a revolutionary system for controlling your creatures.

I guess you should have watched my link earlier then huh? ;)

Looks really awesome, can't wait to get it. (Btw i was like 6-8 when those tomagotchi's came out and I loved them! Too bad we were too poor to afford one!.. I remember one time I accidentally walked out of the store with one and when I realized I had it in my hand i got so scared i dropped it on the ground and ran, Not realizing my mother was right behind me! She didn't let me keep it though.. damnit.)

whoops.. lol, yea, gues you're right :o I got the link on my mail, with the comment I had to watch it ^_^ and it is funny indeed. :D
