I can not get into things like Mcfee, command prompt, spy doctor, regedit or install AVG. When i open them they just minimize back into sys tray and when you try to click on it it goes back to the tray again. Things like cmd and regedit open and then close. When i press CTL alt Dtl to see the process it also closes other things like when i try to open a file on a cd room it closes. The computer had alot of spyware that i got rid of in safe mode useing spy doctor. I also ran Mcaffe and it only found one virus. WHich figures. I cant intall Avg in safe mode or i would run that. Spy doctor always finds Possible wesite hijsck, IEplugin, Winpage Blocker. The person thinks this all happen when she click on something in msn what ever that means?

Plaese help thanks

Sounds Like Your Ie Has Been Reset To Block All Cookies.
Go Into Your Internet Options / Security And See What Your Setting Is At, If It Is Too High You Will Stop Most If Not All Sites From Opening.
It Might Also Be Your Firewall Not Allowing The Programs Access. Check Your Settings On That Too, If You Are Using Xp Firewall That Is Well Known For Denying Access.

Good Luck

The following instructions are SOME of the basic set of rules I created that you should always do as a matter of course, in virus/spyware removal. Do each step, if you have a problem after that, then post back, if this takes care of it, then also post back and let us know.
Good luck,
Byteman

1. Disable System Restore (right-click on "My Computer", Properties, System Restore, check Turn off System Restore).

2. Enable viewing of all files/folders (open "My Computer", Tools, Folder Options, View, click "View hidden folders and files" and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types").

3. Update your Anti-virus program and run a full scan. If you don't have one or your subscription is out of date, then run BOTH online scans below. If you can run a scan with your updated Anti-virus program, then just run ONE of the online scans below.

4. Download CWShredder, VX2finder, Kill2me, and run them. Let them fix what they find. See these links for download:

http://www.pchell.com/downloads/vx2finder.exe

5. Now, download Ad-Aware SE, and SpyBot, (both are free, see links below) install them and update them seperately. Then run a FULL system scan with Ad-Aware, (not the Smart Scan), and check all the items it finds/let it remove them. Run SpyBot and scan, let it remove what it finds. REBOOT your machine and run them again, TAKE NOTE of what items still remain that they couldn't get ride of! Some items will be taken off from a 2nd scan and some items they will NOT be able to remove at all, (Note what those items are).
