spyware DR overated?

I have the latest version with all guards activated and it won't even block downloading an eicar text file..only detects it as a virus after i manually scan the file...It's the only anti virus I've ever had that will let you down load a virus test file unless its a zip file..

anyone else experience this?

Sorry mate, never tried Spyware Doctor. Just to pee you off even more, Microsoft Essentials stopped the download of all the EICAR files including the zipped archives.

i believe this did too till the latest program update..not sure though
