I am not sure which i should get. I have purchased the new p8p67 Asus motherboard with i7-2600k cpu/R970 Msi Ati Gpu. I was striving for the best and aiming for the fence. I am worried about SSD and not familiar to it. Also scared of throwing my money away on old RPM drives..

I am going to game and i have a 1.5tb external harddrive where i can store anything on.

I was thinking going with the SSD ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233122 ) as primary Windows 7 base, and have the other harddrive to store "anything" even games.... Now the harddrive thats 1.5tb is low RPM and SATA II since it was in a external.

should i go with
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136544

or

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233122 (does this drive come with SATA 3G cables? does SATA 2G cables work on 3G?)

I dont want to have the other hardrive {1.5tb} slow me down......

Just stuck in a hole need to climb out with help lolol

Just to clear this up you are not planning to use your external for programs and everything else right?

The external would be 5400rpm which is a bit slow so I would go with the caviar black only unless you can get the funds for both a 7200 drive and an SSD.

If you can spare a little more cash get yourself an OCZ Vertex 2 60Gb for your primary drive to install the OS + antivirus on.

Then get or use a standard 7200rpm drive for the rest of your stuff such as games, applications ets.

use your external as a "Data storage" only.

Thats how i have mine setup and it works very well.

Btw dont get that SSD you linked too,Its using the older crappy Indilinx controller, get one with a Sandforce controller...that one i linked to has SandForce SF1200 controller. :)

Frequently there will be a 60gb Sandforce drive for around $100, which was probably the intendend link.
