SSD problem

I bought the SSD in my sig in December 2010 and its been working fine without any problems. Until today when I started my computer. First it showed "Bootmgr is missing. Press ctrl alt del to restart." After a few restarts, it then showed "A disk error has occurred, press ctrl alt del to restart. I then opened my computer and unplug my SSD SATA from both the drive and the MoBo. Started it up, and it works fine now. I ran DSKCHK on all drives. Here they are:

32GB SSD (Yes, I know it should be in ACHI, didn't know that when I installed it. I will change it once I transfer this SSD over to my new build.)

Any ideas? A bad SATA cable? I didn't do any hardware changes. I dusted it out and removed the video card and sound card, but I replaced them and it was working yesterday.

Is your OS on the SSD? I don't understand how you disconnect it and then it let's you boot unless your OS is on one of the other HDD's.

No, the OS is on the SSD, and yup, disconnected and plugged back in, and then it worked. Kinda like kicking it to make it work. Never thought it would work...

I think it's a fairly safe assumption that you aren't running 3 drives that are about to die. Running with that it's probably the cable. It's the next easiest thing to check as well.

The thing is, I haven't had a problem since, and there's no way to test it. Might as well just replace it, $5 at any store.

If reseating the cable worked it could be as simple as the cable was loose.
