SSD Vs. VelociRaptor

Is the solid state hard drive faster at reading and writing then the VelociRaptor?

yes definately its an SSD velociraptor is just a faster HDD i think its 10,000 rpm but the SSD is basically one big fast memory stick. The SSD is faster

I'm pretty sure the SSD's are faster, but I don't think they're worth the price.

Depends, some cheap SSD have horrible sustained write speed but good read speeds. You'll have to do your homework on each drive before finding one that's capable of both high read and write speed.

that is not a good SSD. first of all, its MLC, which means that the mroe info stored on it, the slower it will be, and its read speeds arent even that high. if you are going to go SSD, get an SLC, whcih is going to be super expensive, but is the only way you will get the speed improvement over the velociraptor
