SSE/SSE2 support for AMD Athlon XP

hello, i have a bad feeling in asking this question but here goes,

i'm running an AMD Athlon XP 2600+ (winXP-SP2) and just tried to install 'Adobe Creative Suite Production Studio Premium' and it would not continue as it says i don't have SSE/SSE2 support.

is there a patch for this by any chance?

i'm planning a chip/MB upgrade in december but right now its kind of a bummer that i can't run this program :(
 
This should be in procceesors. SSE is a processor function. If I remember correctly, only a few Athlon XP's didn't have SSE enabled as I too had some problems with my old Desknote(XP 2000+)
 
HAH... I just found my old post WAAY back when. I think my problem was just a cheap motherboard/desknote... I beleive you're right, and they only support SSE, and not SSE2.
