I have been thinking about doing something so my computer starts up faster. The most obvious thing is to put it in standby or hibernate. standby obviously being the faster choice.
I was wondering, how much power is a normal comp using during standby? I want to put it on standby when im not using it but im afraid about how it will effect the power bill. Does standyby use a noticeable amount of power to do much to the bill?
I might choose hibernate since this is effectively a shutdown to the comp and I have plenty of HDD space.
So what are ur suggestions. If the power bill isn't effected too much i'd gladly use standby so anyone with personal experience?
