Start up problems

Does anyone know how to reslove this problem: when I turn my computer on it says NTLDR is missing, when I try to load in my recovery disks the system says there is a problem putting files back into system.
 
type sfc /scannow in your run box this will search for all missing and or corrupt windows files and replace them, it might ask for your windows disk though! Make sure there is a space between the sfc and the / hope this works for you! Here is a site that will explain how to use it!

PS: I think this will only work with xp though, not sure?
