Alright well I changed some things around a bit and started ordering parts. The P5K3 only supported ddr3 memory and I'm not paying 400 bucks for 2 gigs of ram so I switched to the p5kc.

I haven't ordered the CPU or motherboard yet, just everything else.
 
Hopefully the qx6700's will go down to at most 550 haha. Do you guys think I should stick with XP Pro and upgrade to Vista after the service packs or should I just go ahead and get vista?
 
If you already have xp you could just stick with it untill they release a service pack, but if you have to buy and OS you should just go ahead and get vista.

Btw, with that 8800 you will only be able to get the Dx10 support from vista, not that there are realy any games that use it now
