starting in safe mode with linux on windows partition

Hello,

Can anyone advise me how I start in windows safe mode when I have Linux and windows on the same drive, pressing f12 dosent work, it just keeps booting until I get to the Linux boot menu.

Any ideas?

Is there a way that I can boot in safe mode from normal mode, like there used to be an option to restart in safe mode on ME but not in XP unless its hidden, if so what key do I press to change my options after selecting the shut down menu.

Having a boot manager won't make a difference, it doesn't touch anything on your windows partition, and windows still goes through the same boot process.

Press F8 after you choose to boot windows.
