starting xp

Yeh i have had that problem on a friends pc that was running 98, we couldnt work out why as it wasnt connected to internet so no virus/spyware and we hadnt installed any new hardware. It was only used for ms word and excel, I never worked out why, in the end he just left it and pushed f1 to startup the computer (everything always stil ran fine after pressing f1).

driver error: press f1 to continue

can i ask if you have installed any hardware drivers of somesort.

When installing XP did it say something like "Driver.cab" is missing

And when did this occur try and retrace your steps
