i would say if you know what your doing: 2
if you know a little about inside the computer(like how to put ram on a mobo) then: 5
if you have never opened a computer: 9

Well usually parts come with good enough instructions that you could figure it out by being very careful. However, there are many times that parts lack very good documentation and can cause an inexperienced person to not know what they're doing. The best way of learning is just by building them with a person who's experienced and learning through actions.

lol whats the best way to learn can i doing it by reading the insturctions a manual or will i need some one there to help me.

You can get a lot of it done by reading the manuals but for some things you will need help. I would suggest either know a friend that knows about computers or make a friend at a local computer shop that will let you sit down with him/her.

That's a very good way of learning. Just make sure you notice very detailed things when you're taking it apart and take notes. Also, just make sure the components in this old computer aren't of much value in case there's a major accident.
