Whenever I start this pc, the start menu freezes for about 1 minute. After that minute it is fully functional. I have removed programs from startup, I have ran spyware checks, I have ran registry cleaners, I can not figure out why this is happening.
The Laptop has a 2.5ghz Core 2 duo, it has 4 gigs or memory, and has about 10 gigs free on the hardrive.(It is not my machine) It is running 32 bit windows xp, Norton antivirus and superanti spyware are the security. There is no third party firewall.
I deleted any processes that I thought were not needed, the only thing I found odd was there was about 8 svhost.exe in my process manager....
Anyone have any thoughts about this?
Im thinking about just reformatting
Thanks All
Matt
