Im currently looking for a new computer and because of my lack of knowledge I'm not sure if the following stats are good enough concidering the price so here it is:

* Intel® Core 2 Quad Q8200 processor
* (2.33GHz, 1333MHz FSB, 4MB Cache)
* Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium
* 4GB DDR2 667MHz memory
* 768MB NVIDIA® GeForce 9600GS

* 640GB SATA hard drive (7200rpm)
* Dual Layer DVD Rewriter
* 15-in-1 media card reader
* 8x USB, 2x IEEE 1394 FireWire® ports
price: £528.49

Thank you in advance for any help given :)

also would i be able to play the latest games on it?

Building one is gonna be the way to go, I'll piece one together on Newegg but I want to make sure you're even interested before I go searching for parts. ;)

Yup! Building is the way to go! I actually built the rig in my sig for about $200 USD (135 GBP.) You probably won't do quite as good as I already had the case and hard drive, but still... :P Do it! Check out Omega's guide if you have questions. :)

Haha...when I read the title I thought of a class I just got finished with, Probability & Statistics, we always called it Stats. Yes, Stats (class) did help :D hard though.

Do you know of a computer parts retailer in the UK that I can price stuff at?

Probably Danny knows... for now you could try microdirect.co.uk... the pricing is fairly similar to Newegg. I've never bought from there myself as I'm in the US though... note to Danny: JUST WAIT TILL DANNY FINDS THIS... HE'LL KNOW. :P
