Steam Extremely Slow

As the above states i have been downloading COD black ops latest update for the last 3 hours at 16kbps this is ridiculous and am wondering if anybody else is experiencing slow downloads and if there is any explanation for this.

Currently re-downloading CoD4 @ 5.0MB/s so everything is ok over here, however you will be on a different server to what I am.

Probably a stupid thing to suggest as I'd imagine you have already, but have you restarted Steam, and restarted your router?

Try changing your download location in steam, I have the Internode so I their server, have no problems maxing out my connection on it.
