Steam games not working

counter strike works fine, but when i go to play gta4, or dirt2 they close as soone as they open and it says APPCRASH. when i play borderlands as soon as it loads the first level(about 5 minutes into game) it crashes and i get this, any help?Thanks

Phenom II 940, 4gb 1066 gskill ddr2, 9800gt. it keeps saying the problem file is kernelsomething.dll

Well to me it looks like something has gone wrong with the install. Have you tried wiping and downloading them again? Tried restarting steam? Restarted your computer?

yes, reinstalled steam and games

its KERNALBASE.dll that is casuing it

lol, yea, i was just pissed and everywhere i look points towards a fresh install. and i could use one anyways, my pc had like 400gb of crap i didnt need
