Steam Gifting....

I got Lost Planet with my graphics card, I installed it but don't really like it. Is there any way to use steam gifting to give it to a friend?
 
I dont think so if youve already installed it.
They dont allow transfering games between steam accounts.
Atleast thats what customer service told me when I got a new steam account and wanted to move my HL2. :(

For steam gifting, i think you actually have to buy the game, like you cant gift a game you have or gift a game gifted to you.

That's right. You can also gift a game if you buy it twice. When Orange Box was released, I bought it, installed it, and was given the gifting option for HL2 and HL2 Ep. 1 - I already had the games installed in my Steam account.
 
Okay, I see. Could I install my steam account on another computer, and then have the game on that other computer as well, but still on my account?

I dont quite understand the question.

The game is linked to your account. Where ever the account goes, the game goes (you have to download it ofcourse). If you take it to a friends house and DL it, yes you can play it on their computer. However, only 1 computer can be logged into the account at the same time.

I also think sharing an account might be against the steam TOS, im not quite sure (but im not sure how theyd find out).

Actually, I think that's exactly what he's asking.
 
That answers my question. Right now I have only that game (Lost Planet) on my steam account, and I don't like it much, so I want to just give it away. I might just start up a new Steam and give Lost Planet (and that account) to a friend who might play it.
