Steam problems...

I bought counter-strike:source which came with DOD source and half life 2 deathmatch and anyway... I put in the code into steam but then it says servers are busy when I try to download the games.

I did this like two days ago and I try pausing and start updating again and it stays at 0%. Any ideas here?

I do not want to install with the cd because then I would not have my steam friends.
 
Try right right click, Delete local content, then try to install again. I did something similar for me when I tried HL: Source. It started it and it immediately hung up. I did what I suggested and it went fine.

i swear i effing tried that before... maybe i didnt ha thanks anyway.
it's working now!
 
Just copy the config folder, it contains your server data, but your friends are stored on the Steam servers.
