Steam Problems?

I'm just wondering, anyone else having the same problems with Steam and CS as I am? When I try and add servers to my favourites, it add's them fine while I'm playing, but once I restart Steam, bam, my favourites list has been wiped and it now shows that I have none. Plus, sometimes, well, more often than not, when I try to add a server I play on often, it doesnt actually add it to the favourites list when entering the IP manually. Anyone else having these issues?

Is there any decent applications out, freeware, that's good for game server IP management? So that you can see how many people are on, what map is being played, can join from it etc?
 
Ya, most of the ppl have this issue, best way to get rid of it (temporary) is to re-start Steam.
 
Valve mentioned anything about attempting to fix this on the Steam website or anything?
 
Not that I know of, I do read alot about updates to come and that is not on their list, Valve sux when it comes to updates.
 
Oh bugger. I find it annoying as hell having to keep refresh the full server list in order to find the one I wish to play on.
