Do you still need an ebay link to post in buy/sell, because allot of people arn;t and no one in authority is saying anything, so just want to make sure because i plan to sell a few things soon.(first thing will be 512MB of PC133 SDRAM if anyone is interested.)

No the ebay link requirement has been removed. For the time being it is a case of Buyer Beware, and using your common sense. We were looking at only allowing members with 100+ posts to post in that area, but we do not yet have a way to automate that.

A good way to do this would be to make people who wish to become traders, give over their home addresses. Then admin/mod can send a verification code through the post, and when they get it, then can contact admin or mod and give them the verification code. That way, admins and mods will have a database of traders, and if any try ripping, well, you have their addresses.

That is simply not time/cost effective. Most of the scammers are fly by nighters, so a 100+ post requirement may act as somewhat of a disincentive.

Yeah

The 100+ rule would be the best. People would not come here just to sell. People would not post 100+ posts in order to sell and even if they attempted to do it, the admin would likely ban them if their stuff would be blatedly stupid.

JAN :D

Your right I suppose...A GSM forum I use have a £5.00 trading subscription fee. It sounds alot but it has the most traders in the online GSM community...More than the forums which don't have subscription fees!
