Storing a file on a DVD?

I have a file that is 2.85 GB, and I just simply want to STORE it on a disc, and be able to take it off and put onto another computer. My flash drive is only 2GB, so that wouldn't work. Let me know if there is a way..

Yes...burn the file on DVD, get to the other computer and just copy/paste the files from the DVD.
But if you mean that you could make it blank again, I'm afraid there is no way, except if the disc is erasable. Very expensive I think...It's just like USB with 4.7 GB lol!

It's called a data dvd. You first need a dvd burner and realize that a burn on one drive no matter how good may not always be able to be read on another. Smaller files backed up on cd-rs on older builds couldn't be read on the current case.

The three things needed of course 1)being mentioned already a dvd burner 2)a good blank dvd-r and 3)the program that will burn data dvds. Blank dvd-rs hold just about 4gb of data on the average burn while the maximum is standardized at 4.2gb. That's quite a bit larger then the file you need to burn onto disk there.

No, I do not care about getting the disc blank again. So when I boot it up, just click on "Create data disc" from Nero and then select the file, burn, and I can drag it off?
