I recently purchased a new iBuyPower computer and with it came a simple wireless LAN card. I have a wireless internet connection setup so that I can connect to a modem in another room of the house. I used this card to setup a connection and it actually works (I've never setup wireless internet before in my life).
However the connection is real bad, it's slow, laggy, and sometimes not even there. But I saw something strange in my taskbar. While looking at my shame of a connection I saw another connection that when I moused over it read "1394 connection, Connected"...the weird part was that it said I was connected and running at 400 Mbps
. What is this? How can I utilize it? I'm pretty sure I need a hard cable for this, but can I make this wireless in exchange for my other, lagfest connection?
