Strange Pc Connection Problem

I just got a panasonic camocorder and just found out they dont supply the motionDV software with it:confused: but they do supply usb cable..i wanted to know what other software can be used to get video from the tape in the camcorder...it can be done..just need to know what sofware and what drivers...when i stuck the camcorder in first time it said drivers installed but may not work properly i dont know whats going on with it..but all i want to do is know what software i need to get the videos from the camera to the pc
 
Assuming you are using firewire, it should just install automatically then you can use windows movie maker to transfer video, if you are using USB try looking on the panasonic website for drivers/software
