That's a bizarre problem. Maybe something to do with the browser or any extra stuff ebay uses. Have you installed java and flash? I can't imagine ebay would even use it though. I'd say there is a definite solution to this isolated problem. I'll look it up in the morning and hopefully we can get your ebay workin. Is it a desktop or laptop. Does your keyboard have any mouse input whatsoever. A touchpad for the laptop? It could be as simple as disabling tapping during typing. Give me some more details of your setup. Whether your keyboard and mouse is wired, wireless, USB or green and pink jacks.
