Streaming videos not working

hello everybody im new on here. i have a question about streaming video, when im watching a website, for example "justintv.com", i have no problem at home on my laptop, but when im at school, it doesn't seem to catch on to the stream. is there something i need to change in my network settings?

I have used Justin.tv to watch a couple people play Geometry Wars once. I do know that Firefox has some problems playing the live stream (whether it be plug-ins or incompatibility I don't know). I would make sure you have flash player and the specific one you need if any for your browser of choice.

i dont use firefox. it works fine at home with my router, but when i bring my laptop to school and use their public network the streaming wont work.

It could be some kind of filtering device they use?
