Streamload/ mediamax

A friend recommended this. Is it any good for downloading programs from home or anywhere? He used it for Japanese TVs dramas whle he was in the UK. The problem I have in Japan is that my guest house has an internet restriction and you cant download anything on P2P programs, just browse the internet.

Would this site work for me though?

If you have no restriction then yes

Well it is hard to say what will work with restrictions in place.

But streamload is like a FTP with a user interface. It is not a peer 2 peer, wich would be like kazza, limewire or ares

Peer 2 Peer -

Computer1-------------------------------------------Computer2

Peer 2 Peer is a direct link from one computer to another.

Streamload-

Computer1-----------------Server1------------------Computer2

On the other hand, Data is sent from a computer then it is stored onto server then from the server to you.
