Hi, Recently bought a new motherboard for my daughters PC.

Installed video card (mobo has onboard video & sound), audio drivers, windows and programs. All runs fine until I leave PC for a couple of days then I get stuck on the startup screen.

Have re-installed everything several times - always the same problem.

Can anyone help?

try another system, like vista or a linux distribution like ubuntu... check hard disk, temps, ram configuration on bios...

enter the bios and select default values...

what happens on the startup screen?? can you enter safe mode???

Try download Memtest86 and running it, or an reformat. Make sure the drivers are compatible with that operating system...
