Student Editions

Is there any difference between standard and student editions of Windows XP? And how much does a student edition usually cost? I've heard from some college students that you can get it for about $15-$20.

I'm not exactly sure. But I think Student Edition comes pre-loaded with apps such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Publisher.

It's my understanding that student edition software is just marked down on price, but has exactly the same functionality. They assume all students are poor (well I certainly am lol).

A lot of institutions buy bulk licenses and allow their students to have a copy free of charge, though not everywhere.

Damn, that sounds correct. I thought I might have been right.
