I had 8 studs with 8 screws on my mobo, I just baught a new video card and i had to take my mobo out to install it. My video card is now in the way of 2 screw holes on the mobo, i can only use 6 screws with 8 studs on the chasis. So i have 8 studs and 6 screws with 2 studs available. Since my computer is workin right now i was wondering if the 2 studs will do any long term damage? Would it be a good idea to take them out? they are both located on the center of the mobo.

shouldn't matter, it's always best to have it screwed down, they may serve some sort of grounding purposes but then again there's plastic ones so I'm not even so sure about that. Anyways you should be fine

Should be fine, but dont forget when your pulling cards off the board that the middle screws arent there and it could flex!

What videocard was this that required you to dissaemble the box

That would be my question too....... I'm thinking the motherboard was installed wrong. The standoffs go under the motherboard with the screws on top.
