Ok, so yesterday i took my ipod out, and it doesn't turn on. I held the middle button and play button for a few seconds and nothing displays. So i plugged it into my computer thinking its completely out of batteries, and the little battery charging sign shows up, except it doesnt move. The computer doesn't detect the ipod and when i unplug it, it won't repond again...whats going on/?

It's an iPod, that's the problem. Crappy jokes aside, it sounds like it's dying/dead...or the battery is screwed up. I'm not an expert on iPods though...

Yeah could be your battery,I mean i had a mobile (Yes it isnt an Ipod)But the battery was dying and the phone wouldnt swich on or recharge.

It just wouldnt hold the power after charging so maybe you could try replacing the battery.

How old is the ipod???? if its pretty old.. the battery will probably need to be replaced

but ive had the problem with a brand new ipod and the only way i got it to charge is to buy a a charger for it that you can actually pplug into the wall

try restoring it.
plug your ipod to your PC, and go on the ipod updater softwear....and click restore.
If its odwst work, go to a Apple store. ipod+mac= magic..... they can do lots of good stuff to help.
If it doest help, go to www.apple.com and go in their ipod forum. Fabulousd place, thats my history forum lol ;)
btw, whatr ipod do you have? (nano, 5th generation, mini, video, etc)

My iPod did this exact same thing the other day. I just ran my disc that came with my iPod again, and I plugged it in and put the cord in as far as it would go and it has worked just fine since.

don't you jsut love ipods? (L)
i simply think they are great, aside that they have problems all the time! lol but the problems are very easy to repair.

I actually restored the entire thing, which deleted all the stuff on it, but it works now :)

That's usually what does it; I've had to do this to my Ipod Mini multiple times since getting it last summer. I imagine within the next couple of months I will probably have to replace the battery.

Hmm

I think a reset would have done it. My sister's IPOD had the same problem. I hope I will not have to face one like that myself.

JAN :D
