Stupid Question

Well I have a rather rediculous question for you all. Would I be able to put a flat computer (the optiplex type) into an, ATX (standup) case? Are the parts able to stand up into a standard ATX case...like motherboard setting.

Depends, very hard to say though. What brand is the computer, but more importantly, is the motherboard atx?

aka Dell.

The answer is 99% no. Dell screws with everything in their case. I am not positive about the motherboard, but I don't think that it will fit.

I've not looked at the recent dell's, but I know older ones(IE GX150's and I think GX240's) have baically no screws. Now, I managed to fit one into an ATX case, but only useing a single screw and modifying the board a bit

Ooo, my school has those computers. It's basically impossible to put it in a normal atx tower cause its such a modified motherboard/case.
