subtitles wont turn on in dvd

hi, i got a set of james bond movie dvds, which allow for the feature of subtitles,
they were working fine, but all of a sudden ive observed that the subtitles function is not working anymore,
ive tried win dvd player and real player one to see if it works in any of them..
it just stopped working!
the dvd is reading okay otherwise.
please help

try this link VLC player Download its a player i use and find to be the best- and its free. If it dont work with VLC then just leave it lol.

i have an older version,
but i have trouble opening a dvd with it, forget the subtitles

Does it allow you to get them with the menus while the movie's playing?

it shows the option, but when i click it, and enable it,
it does not turn on.
as in the dvd menu shows subtitles activated, but the subtitles r never shown
this is new, cos it was working allright a few days ago

Try using power DVD I always had good luck using that one

just try it on a real DVD player and see if you can get it to work , cause then you can narrow it down to the settings of your dvd players on your computer...

unfortunately, i dont have a real dvd player, i see all my dvds on the computer,
and i know its with the comp (gut feeling). its not working on power dvd as well.
does it have something to do with the decoder?
