No. I've seen old SDRAM sticks with "Intel Approved" labels on them, though; it's just a marketing gimmick, though I didn't know they still do it.Is there such thing as Intel-only DDR2 RAM? If so, why and how??
As long as it's the same type, that's the way it works.I thought all RAM was just plug 'n play?
Latency means the number of clock cycles it requires to get something done (CAS, if I recall correctly, refers to the total clock cycles needed to retrieve a piece of data from the memory). Lower=better. Terms "Timings" and "Latencies" are used interchangeably and mean essentially the same thing. Also what is cat latency and timing? And what's better, higher or lower for both?
