Sudden frame drop

Hi, i was wondering if you could help me with a problem i have with my computer, the issue is, i can be playing my games for around 2 hours everything is working perfectly but for some reason ill get a sudden FPS drop in everything on the computer and the only way to get it back to normal is turning off the computer for about 5 minutes.

Some specs (more can be added)

2.4GHz processor
GTX560 graphics card
8gb RAM
windows 7 64bit
600GB hard drive

This issue has only been around for the past month and i have had these specs since christmas.

How hot is your system getting?...use HWMonitor to monitor your CPU & GPU Temps in the background while you game and report back the highest temps.

Also,What exact CPU do you have? 2.4Ghz is not much to go on.

An app called "Cpuz" will tell you exactly what CPU you have.
